What the plugin receives
When you use Vision Calc inside ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant, the assistant sends only the numbers needed for the calculation (field of view, feature size, sensor class, F-number, working distance, height variation and, for Pro, your API key). We do not receive your conversation, your name, or your account details from the assistant.
What the website collects
If you request a printable report or join the Pro waitlist, we collect the email you enter, plus optional company and role, and the calculator inputs at that moment. The calculator itself runs in your browser.
How we use it
- To show you the report and, occasionally, send product updates (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- To understand which applications the tool is used for, so we can improve it.
We do not sell personal data. Sponsored links, when shown, are always labelled “Sponsored” and do not receive your data.
Storage and retention
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for operational purposes. Email submissions are stored in our private spreadsheet and kept until you ask us to delete them.
Payments
Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
